We’ll use varying degrees of sandpaper to gently buff the damage out of the wood. For light sand, we won’t completely strip the wood. Instead, we’ll remove the surface damage and provide a smooth finish. We’ll complete the process by refinishing the flooring for the best appearance, protecting the timber, and providing that glorious shine.
Full Sandback and Polish
If your timber flooring is exceptionally worn out, we’ll complete a full sandback. This process completely strips the flooring down to the bare timber. While it removes all the imperfections, it also allows you to make some alterations to your interior. If you don’t like the colour of your flooring, it’s the best time to change it after a full sandback. We complete the sanding process with coarse-grained sandpaper. We’ll progressively decrease the grain, allowing for more precise and thorough damage removal from the wood. After the last signs of deterioration are eliminated, we’ll polish the timber to a beautiful shine in the finish you want.
Stair Case Restoration
When you restore your timber flooring, it’s best to have your staircase done. Doing one without the other can ruin the overall aesthetic effect. As with your floors, we can complete a light sand or a full sandback, depending on the state of the wood.
